New Job, New City

New Job, New City

After lots of money spent this week moving my life, getting my car fixed after various mishaps, buying new cleaning supplies to give the bathroom a thorough (and much-needed) scrubbing, and other expenses due to an upheaval of life, here I am, sitting at a coffee shop because I have no Internet yet at home.

Posting has been spotty. My apologies! Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. And hopefully the cable dude comes soon, because I can’t deal with no Internet or TV. I’ve never had to entertain myself 19th-century style, and I don’t plan on starting now.

Try reading a good book or going to the movie?
I just saw “Tamara Drew” of Stephen Frears, hilarious english humor…
All my best,
Aurélie

I’ve been reading a great book, Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. Very cool, new take on old Henry VIII’s shenanigans.

Otherwise, I’ve been trying to combat the nerves of starting a new job. I’ve found that sampling new food establishments is a great distraction! So many good places to eat near my new apartment, which is nice. That movie looks great — I don’t think it’s out yet here!

I recently ran into the same problem. I did a ton of writing on word, then when my internet was fixed I just uploaded the content so it was like I hadn’t missed a beat! I hope you get set up soon. Love your site!

I went without any cable/internet for over a year to save money, but it helped that my neighbors had a very nice, strong, unprotected wifi signal.
:)
hang in there!

ps: that suitcase is fabulous.

I agree. Too bad it’s not mine. :)
